Is there a possibility for a hotel accommodation during the tournament?
Unfortunately we haven’t been able to make a cheap deal with the local hotels. Due to the several events organized in Tampere and at the neighbouring countries at the same time with the Delfin Basket Tournament, the hotels are quite fully booked. The best way to book a room in a hotel is to contact the hotels personally. However, if you have troubles finding accommodation, you can always contact the tournament office and we’ll try to help you find accommodation.

When do the tournament games start?
The tournament games start on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 9AM. Each team (age group C99 and older) will have a game already on Thursday. You can find out more about your schedule about 10 days before the beginning of the tournament. That is when the game schedules will be ready. We kindly ask each and every team to be prepared to arrive to Tampere by Thursday morning because due to the great amount of requests, we can’t guarantee to anyone that their game can be postponed.

We try to organize some free time for each team during the tournament so that they would have a chance to participate to the different events organized during the tournament. For example, you can plan a visit to the Särkänniemi amusement park when you have some time off. The tournament guests can buy discount tickets to Särkänniemi from the tournament office. The city of Tampere in itself has a lot to offer.
