Delfin wants to thank you all!
The Delfin Basket 2009 is happily over. There were 245 teams and over 80 referees participating in this year’s tournament.
The organization of Delfin Basket wishes to warmly thank all those players, coaches, team managers and referees who participated in the tournament for having everything running smoothly. The biggest thanks goes to all those hundreds of volunteer workers who did valuable work both before and after the tournament.
Next year is the 23rd Delfin Basket Tournament, so, the organization of Delfin Basket wishes to welcome all basketball friends and fans to Tampere in August 2010.

The preliminary game schedules for Delfin Basket 2009 are ready now and published on our website www.delfinbasket.com . Please visit on our website to chech out Your team’s schedule.
In case of any changes in the schedules the tournament office will be in touch with the teams concerned by email or by phone. Also information about any changes in the schedule will be in the tournament office.
The tournament office opens it’s door in Sampola on Monday!
Delfin Basket tournament office will open it’s doors and be ready to serve all the tournament guests from Monday Jul 27, 2009 in Sampola school (address: Sammonkatu 2). The tournament office is located on second floor.

The enrolment for Delfin Basket 2009 has ended!
The enrolment for Delfin Basket Tournament 2009 has ended. This year there will be 245 teams participating in the tournament!
One of the tournament’s advantages is no doubt the internationality: this year there will be tournament guests from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Russia and USA.
Two U15 national games in Delfin Basket Tournament
In connection with Delfin Basket Tournament there will be two U15 boys national games.
On Wednesday 29th of July at 8:00 pm there will be a U15 boys national game between Finland and Estonia (free entrance). The second game will be on Thursday 30th of July evening and the game starts at 8:15 pm in Pyynikki Arena.
There will be the opening ceremonies of the Delfin Basket Tournament on Thursday evening before the game (8:00pm) and the entrance to the Thursday’s game will be only with the tournament passport.
Also men’s FUN-league fully booked!
The very popular FUN-leagues without age limits have gathered lots of teams also this year: altogether there will be 32 teams in ladies FUN-league and 24 teams in men’s league in this year’s tournament!
Unfortunately we can’t garantee any new placements for teams in ladies FUN- league but you can inquire a position on a waitinglist for your team at our tournament office (toimisto@delfinbasket.com).
Note! Only by paying the team fee you will ensure your team’s place in the tournament. All the team- and tournament passport fees must be paid by July 10, 2009. The team fee will not be refunded.
Over 200 teams enrolled to Delfin Basket 2009!
At the moment there are already 202 teams enrolled for this summer’s Delfin Basket Tournament!
Like last year the highly popular ladies FUN- league had to been closed before June for it was fully booked. At the moment there will be 32 teams participating and we’ll accept inquirements to have your team on a waitinglist in case there are any cancellations.
So far the biggest league is girls B94with 30 teams. There are also 15 teams enrolled in girls Mini-98 league so far which is remarkably a lot.
There is still time to enroll untill July 10, 2009 so you have still enough time to enroll your own team in our traditional tournament!
Ladies FUN-league fully booked!
The exceptionally fast enrollment for this year’s tournament filled the ladies FUN-league already before the end of May. This year 32 teams made their way into the tournament.

Please note, that the team fee (70 euros) should be payed for the teams enrolled before May 31, 2009 by the end of May. Only by paying the team fee the team ensures its spot in the tournament! For those teams enrolling after May 31th, 2009 the team fee will be 100 euros.

Delfin offers the teams also a possibility to camp before the tournament. In the early week the teams have an exellent opportunity to prepare for the tournament starting on Thursday and to practise teams tactics for the upcoming season. Welcome to Delfin Basket!
The traditional Delfin Basket Tournament will be held in Tampere July 30.- Aug 2. 2009. The arrangements for the 22. tournament have already been started.
Delfin Basket Tournament has won a place in the hearts of Finish basketball fans. This shows in the amount of teams which participated in the last few years: over 240 teams per year! The teams don’t participate in the tournament for only to play tough, high level games but also to enjoy the fantastic tournament atmosphere and to attend the additional events which Tampere offers in the summer. The tournament offers a great possibility to test the teams’ fitness and to prepare for the upcoming season. Delfin is the meeting place for the whole international basketball family where you can meet basketball friends from allover the world and make new contacts.
One of the tournament’s advantages is no doubt the internationality: in 2008 there were tournament guessts from i.e. Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Taiwan, Iceland and Russia. The high level foreign teams absolutely raise the level of the games and even in the younger Mini- Delfin agegroups the players get to feel the international atmosphere.
We wish to welcome You and Your team to our tournament in August 2009. Time to enroll is untill July 10th 2009. We recommend that You enroll in good time in order to get the benefits for Your team: if you enroll by May 31st 2009 the team fee will be 70 euros where as for those enrolling after May 31st 2009 the fee will be 100 euros.
