Tournament Rules:

1. These are the age groups in both boys and girls:

30.7.-2.8.2009

• A born in 1991 and later

• B94 born in 1994 and later

• B95 born in 1995 and later

• C96 born in 1996 and later

• C97 born in 1997 and later

 

31.7-2.8.2009

• Mini98 born in 1998 and later

• Mini99 born in 1999 and later

• Fun (no age limits)

2. The tournament organization or a supervisor of a gym has the right to check the birth dates of the players as well as their tournament passports. Please notice that every coach also needs a tournament passport. All players need to show a valid ID or a passport if asked to prove their age.

3. Each player has the right to participate to the tournament in one team only. It is not allowed for players to switch teams during the tournament.

4. Regulations concerning the players’ transfers between clubs follow the regulations of the Finnish Basketball Association. If there are agreements of cooperation signed between the clubs, the tournament organization needs to be informed of them before the tournament starts. The team’s name must indicate the cooperation. Mixed teams (players collected from different clubs) are allowed only in the FUN league.

5. If a game needs to be postponed due to a force majeure –reason, the tournament organization will set a new time and date for the game.

6. Each team needs to play the tournament games until the end. Cancellations will be reported to the Finnish Basketball Association, which will then determine the means of punishment.

7. A cancellation will be dealt according to the Rules and Regulations of the Finnish Basketball Association, paragraph 5.2.

8. In age groups A and B, the tournament organization has the right to group the teams according to their estimated level of competition. The goal is to get closer and tighter games for the teams already at the first round. The amount of teams advancing to the qualifying groups might thus vary. However, each team still has a chance to win the tournament.

9. Each player must have a valid sportsinjury insurance which covers all the injuries and damages caused during sports games and tournaments. The tournament organization will not cover possible injuries during the games or during the freetime.
